The Farms

Certain League Farms is located in rural Williamston, MI, and situated on seven beautiful acres. The restored home from the 1880s boasts enough character to possibly match that of our residents’ rich personalities.

Our residents help care for the horses here that are part of Mike Bills’ renowned breeding program. This gives the men daily, structured routines as well as accountability. Common tasks include getting up to feed, clean, and water the horses and assist with foaling out the mares in the spring.

To be responsible for the well-being of another creature is no small task, and these men flourish with the responsibility and reward of strong relationships with the horses. The relationship between man and horse is unlike any other, and the opportunity to care for The Farms’ horses gives our residents a sense of purpose, pride, and meaning.

That Certain League Farms is full of life is no understatement. The Farms is also a satellite kennel for Lake Michigan Aussies. The men are able to care for and nurture the puppies of our show dog Dream, helping socialize and condition these puppies to lead rich and happy lives in eventual homes of their own.

Welcome to Certain League Farms

Finally, The Farms boasts a large plot of asparagus. The men are responsible for tending, weeding, planting, and harvesting and can therefore take prideful ownership of the harvest. Their reward is made that much sweeter by the ability to sell and market this produce to the surrounding community.

We are always growing and hope to continue expanding the beauty and wonder of The Farms with a pollinator garden in the near future.
